JIO in trouble Due to IDIA,AIRTEL and VODAFONE
JIO UPDATES
As we know the Jio has taken major step to reach every individual in india to provide free internet and free call services.
So regarding this today TRAI has conducted a meeting between the telecom companies.
Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio was never welcome among other telecoms.
Today, after months of threats, complaints and accusations that were shared through written complaints - including to the Prime Minister's Office - the top executives of India's biggest telecoms came together in a room to try and hammer out their differences.
Today's session was mediated by TRAI, the telecom regulator. There were representatives of Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and other smaller telecoms. Not allowed was the industry association of Operators Association of India or COAI.
"COAI has been kept out of the TRAI meeting at the insistence of RIL Jio, and TRAI acquiesced to their demand in an unprecedented manner".
“Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) acquiesced to their (Jio’s) demand in an unprecedented manner,” COAI director-general Rajan S Mathews said.
Jio denied the charge. “We have not said any such thing,” said Reliance Jio Infocomm board member Mahendra Nahata.
Representatives of Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea were invited to the meeting, called in the wake of Jio’s allegation.
Reliance Jio has said its services are free till December 31, following which consumers will be charged as per tariff plans that will include free voice calls.
